I’m so embarrassed!

I was commenting on a certain gadget shop on Facebook about iTouch. I was kind of hoping nobody would see it, but actually one of my friends did. I don’t know why, but I don’t want them to know that I’ve been planning to buy an iTouch. I guess I just don’t want to flaunt or anything. Urgh. She copied and pasted what I commented on my wall and as soon as I read it, I deleted it without reading what she said. I can’t bring to read it. It’s really embarrassing! >_<

SONA 2010

We are in crisis. As I watch the replay of the video of President Noynoy’s SONA, I realized we are in deeper jeopardy than I thought, not just in the economic aspect, but all aspects anyone can think when running and managing a country. In the early part of the SONA, he declared that government expenditure exceed our revenues. One case is the funding of calamities which happened a year or two ago. The money spent was supposed to be used during the present time. What if calamities would visit us now? What would we do then? Looking back, money used to fund them wasn’t entirely used for the benefit of the people. Instead, it went to the hands of corrupt politicians who aren’t worthy of the position and the trust of the people. Due to misuse of money and selfish politicians, the future would suffer. There are instances that they purchase more than what they need. An example of this is rice. And the result? Rice stored in the warehouse ended up rotting. The money wasted could have funded more important things and could lessen our debts. And to think there are millions of Filipinos who can’t eat rice at least once a day is just sad, not to mention that this even incremented our already huge debt. There have already been many proposals from local to foreign investors to provide for our various needs. If we can fix our food supply chain with the help of the private sector, instead of importing, we will hopefully be able to supply for the needs of the global market.

Most of President Noynoy Aquino’s SONA contains economic problems of the Philippines, how to solve and counter them. He told the public of the debts of the Philippines, which is the result of the inefficient use of resources, most specifically, money. This is due to the shameful previous administration, as he said, and I couldn’t agree more. As I grew older, I became more aware of the appalling way they handled the country. His SONA entails projects on how to help the Philippines rise from its almost deathbed and counter corruption. He has spoken of investigating more things, finding hidden problems, his strategies to solve them and how he needs us, the citizens, to cooperate in order to make change and not let history repeat again. Reading his SONA made me aware that we are deeply in economic crisis that I thought. I’ve had enough of my fair share of broken promises, disappointments and frustrations of the previous administration. It’s hard to trust, but I’m hoping this time, someone could change the Philippines and lead us to the straight path. I just hope that today’s administration would actually practice what they preach and stop giving us false hopes, because right now, aside from cooperating with them, all we can do is hope and trust them.

This one is a hard one, since I have lots of songs that I usually listen and like. :O But there’s one song that I don’t get tired of listening to, regardless of the times I’ve listened to it and how I’ve memorized each line. And that’s If You Believe by Rachel Lampa. This was one of the songs from A Walk To Remember and I actually liked it, so I searched for it.

Happiness

I won’t say I feel like I’m in heaven or I feel like I’m floating because I feel it’s too corny. LOL. But I know I am really happy right now. I never thought something like this could make me happy.

Some say that the world is a wheel, or rather, life is a wheel and soon I’ll be overcome by sadness. If sadness will come, I’ll be really sad then. But I’m not yet thinking about that.

I won’t forget that day, that place, that starless, cold night.

Of Cats and PCs

I’m sad. One of our cats got injured. Sipat — that’s our cat’s name and it means ‘hyper’ in English — has a big hole in his side and it is bleeding. It looks really hideous and we don’t know where he got that injury or who mistreated him. That person must be really heartless. Our pet isn’t harmful. He’s even scared of seeing sticks because he’s thinking that stick would hit his skin.

I wish he’d be fine already. I don’t want to lose him.

Anyway, I’ve been playing DoTA. Again. Haha. I just don’t get better everytime. Our old computer, which is the only computer allowed for us to play games is lagging when I play DoTA and I don’t want to spend bucks in the internet cafe just to play.

My dad was telling me he’d buy a new CPU and all for the computer and I’m really excited to have the new one, though I don’t know when he’ll actually buy them. For the meantime, I’ll just enjoy our desktop PC and my laptop and practice DoTA later when the gaming PC is all good and fast!

I remember I used to listen to sad love songs two years or so ago. And I wouldn’t like the song if it didn’t bring me to tears. I don’t think I’m just being overly dramatic considering how messy my love life was at that time. Perhaps I’ve grown up, matured, or moved on because I’m pretty contented with my life right now. My life isn’t as messy but it’s not as happy as anyone would think. Maybe I’ve just learned how to look at the brighter side of things and make the best of what I have.

Which isn’t the person I am two years ago.

I’ve never really known myself, but over the course of time, I slowly understood. Someone may have understood me better than I do myself, I guess. I used to question why I have to go through all those shit and why are they happening and all sorts of questions. I guess you could say that’s normal because inPhilosophy, human beings ask ‘Why?’.

It’s just that I know by now that they do happen for a reason and I’ve decided to accept whatever the reason is.

I’m listening to Nina’s songs right now. I’ve always loved her songs since I could relate to them. I love her voice too.
